Health and medical treatment

In addition to contracts with your medical practice regarding any psychiatric medication we will encourage residents to monitor the fundamentals of their own health through us of GP consultation, Dentist or Optician and Well Men or Women clinics. Particular note will be made of specific complaints identified upon moving.

Medicines

Administration of medication is of course, of crucial importance. Refusal of medication requires discussion with the residents, if necessary, consultation with the appropriate health care professional. If agreed as suitable at the outset with the individual and/or his/her relative/professional key worker individual residents can choose to administer their own medication

Threatening or anti social behaviour

It is accepted that there are occasions that conflicts or disputes may occur. Staff would be expected to behave in a calm and caring manner, listening activity to what is being said with a view to identifying clearly the nature of the problem in order to negotiate a solution. Any incident of violent behaviour will require logging and reporting for management actions
