Avondale is situated in a residential area near to the Westgate-on-sea main shopping street and is close to a medical practice, sea front and other facilities

Avondale is a large house comprising of 4 floors. Those in residence will be sharing the home with the family of the household.

Residents themselves occupy the top, newly refurbished, floor of the house. Each resident has his/her own room with television and tea making facilities. Smokers are requested to smoke only in  their own rooms.

All meals are provided and though fare is negotiable the emphasis is on substantial but healthy food.
On the residential floor there is a large modern bathroom with bath and basin (shaving point) and toilet.

Residents use this bathroom as a matter of preference.
Clothes and bedding are regularly laundered and repairs and alterations can be done in-house.

Access to the garden and street is via stairway and hall; each resident is expected to have his/her own key. Within the garden, if required in the summer, there is a patio area. Garden furniture is available.
